1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible
Things were different in 1964……… Fossil fuels were “the” way to go..V8's were Big and getting Bigger every day… Ford had introduced a 7.0 Liter cruiser for the road and was building “ lightweight” 7.0 liter Galaxies for the drag strip… Convertibles that sat enough people to have a party were the rage… Global warming had never even been heard of , It was just Boy, Hot dam it is a warm one today !
Cancer from the Sun??? Hahaahhhahhahhahah are you crazy??? The sun is good for you , lots of vitamin D !...Hell without the sun we would all look pale and Pasty …… I remember the incredible trips to Lake Tahoe…7 of us would pile into my buddies 7 liter Galaxie and head off to Tahoe with the top down ..The trunk would hold so much beer, ice and food that anybody looking in the trunk would have assumed that we had enough to last the seven of us for a week……… Trust me you need a huge trunk to carry massive amounts of refreshments ,
This car is a beautiful brilliant red with black interior … it is capped with a pristine white top and is accented by beautiful chrome wheels and baby moons……This car is very well equipped with A/C , power steering , power top, Power windows and a 352 cubic inch V8 with gobs of torque…The car shows many years of loving care and a couple of paint jobs…. A Galaxy convertible represents real value in the collectible market place … They are greatly appreciated for the comfort factor , the convertible is fun to drive and they are still affordable .
