2009 Ford Mustang GT500KR
2009 Shelby GT 500 KR.
2008 marked the return of the Shelby GT500KR, the most powerful production Mustang ever. 1000 units were produced that year, but demand for the "King of the Road" was so great, that Ford green-lighted another year of production. An additional 712 cars were made for 2009, which were identical to the 2008 models. The KR's supercharged V-8 produced 540 horsepower, 40 more than the standard GT500, and also includes a short-throw shifter, taller, 3.73:1 rear axle and unique wheels, tires and suspension settings. A special composite hood with hood pins, and unique stripes and badging set the KR apart from normal GT500s.
This very special 2009 Shelby GT500 KR is offered with just 10,800 original miles and comes complete with all original paperwork supporting its history from the original selling dealer. Numbered CSM 09KR0035, it is the 35th of the 712-car production run. It is 1 of 110 finished in Colorado Red with Silver Stripes and extra-cost enhancements that include upgraded leather throughout the interior, carbon fiber inside and out, and a Shaker sound system make it one of the rarest Mustangs ever built. No serious Mustang or Shelby collection would be complete without this modern "King of the Road."
