"Lo Rider "drive a little slower.......
1950 Mercury Coupe….
Old School Cool…
When I think of the Lead sleds of old..... The silhouette is almost always a very early 50's Mercury.
and usually associated with some cat nicknamed “Scarface” or “ Icepick”... I imagine the guy getting out of the car with his very clean white T-shirt , sleeves rolled up, a pack of camels in the sleeve , a stick match in his teeth. Hair greased and combed straight back on the sides. a little waterfall of shiny greased hair in the front just barely touching his forehead…….And nobody wants to make eye contact because ...well just because the level of intimidation one might feel when “Scarface” gets out of the lowered Mercury might be more than what most folks would care to deal with,in public any way……
In those days the motor would have been a well built Flathead or a small block Chevrolet…. In those days the “Outer Limits of Cool” belonged …..James Dean ,Steve Mcqueen, Marlon Brando.
